Artists Statement
The five elements corresponding to the four seasons and four directions are:
Wood (spring / east) → 青 (green-blue)
Fire (summer / south) → 赤 (red)
Earth (late summer / center) → 黄 (yellow)
Metal (autumn / west) → 白 (white)
Water (winter / north) → 黑 (black).
These are the traditional Chinese five colors: green-blue, red, yellow, white, and black.
Paper cranes (千羽鶴) are flying across the four seasons and four directions, symbolizing bringing endless hope.

四季及四方代表的五行: 木(春/東) 、火(夏/南) 、土(長夏/中) 、金(秋/西) 、水(冬/北) ，對應中國傳統色彩中的五彩的顏色分別是「青、赤、黄、白、黑」。以紙千羽鶴呈現來回飛越四季及四方帶來無限的希望。
